Dr. Michelle Clarke

B. Appl Sci / B. Chiro Sci, B. Sci (physiol/biochem), OMT

Michelle’s path to chiropractic care began when she developed severe shoulder pain during her early university years. After experiencing life-changing relief through chiropractic treatment, she made the decision to redirect her career to chiropractic and help others achieve similar results.

During practice she developed a strong interest in the TMJ (jaw). Seeing many adults with similar presentations of jaw pain, bruxism and snoring, she began digging deeper for the cause. Michelle discovered orofacial myofunctional therapy. Having had braces and extractions as an adult, her passion for prevention was strengthened and she took a particular interest in paediatric jaw development and early intervention.

Dr. Michelle Clarke is recognized for her unique skill set and experience in the management of TMJ (jaw) dysfunction and craniofacial pain.

With extensive post-graduate training, she is one of the few chiropractors in Australia who has advanced knowledge in treating TMJ disorders, headaches, bruxism (teeth grinding), mouth breathing and orofacial pain. Michelle has a particular interest in chronic and complex adult jaw complaints and paediatric jaw development.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Physiology and Biochemistry from The University of Melbourne, followed by a double degree of Applied Science (Clinical Science) and Chiropractic Science from RMIT University, graduating with Distinction in 2005.
